Darrin's Birthday

Happy Birthday Darrin!

 Lorraine made Darrin's cake this year which I really appreciated!!

I was wondering what to get Darrin for his birthday. In my marriage class we've learned that we should show more appreciation for our spouse so I had thought about writing a page of just a few things that I appreciated. Then I realized the kids hadn't gotten him anything yet either so I included them in the fun. I came up with this book:

 I had each kid and myself come up with 5 things they love about their dad then had them draw a picture for him. (I didn't draw a picture instead I wrote a little note)

 After that I just added pictures of things we were thankful to him for

It's not quite done yet, the boys still have to draw pictures, then I'm going to laminate all the pages and the cover and sew/staple it altogether but I wanted him to have it on his birthday.

Melaleuca Zoo Day

Every year Melaleuca has a special Zoo day where they give all employees and their imediate family tickets to get in. We go ever year and LOVE it!

Carving Pumpkins

We finally got new family pictures. Abbi wasn't feeling very well but she's doing her best to look good for the pictures. These pictures were taken in Craig and Lorrain's yard, very beautiful.

Dallin in now 9 months old. He's crawling, pulling himself up to things, trying to walk, clapping his hands and showing off his muscles.

Abbi is nearly five, I can't believe it! She starts kindergarten at the end of August. She's growing up so fast.

I'm still the pianist in primary. It's difficult but I'm learning again how to play which is good. One of these days I'll be able to feel confident enough to play both hands with out messing up all the time.

Darrin is still one of the financial clerks and he loves it. He is such a great accountant and good with numbers.

Overall, we're all doing well and having a great summer!
